- I never heard about Dabroski, or Overexcitabilities, or Highly Sensitive until about a year and a half ago when I was trying to understand why my son who had a very different early childhood from mine still had so many of the same "issues" that I have. I was searching for ways to help him cope with anxiety and stumbled onto an article about overexcitabilities and there was suddenly a description and a name for my son and I.
